i'm posting this as a general reply to those who read my blog post (see here) on supporting TVXQ here in the Philippines and took it quite negatively >.< but there are those that i want to commend who voiced out honest opinions and laid them down clear and concise without a hint of "ranting mode".

straight to my point, i never said that voting in MYX (or any local music chart for that matter) is the ONLY way you could show your love and support for our beloved boys. i never said that when you don't vote for them then you're a lesser kind of a fan anymore. we have different definitions on how to become a fan to TVXQ, it's just that this is how i define myself as a "real fan" (where real = full support and love all the way) and i'm not enforcing anyone to be like me after reading my blog post. of course there is a hint of influence in between the lines of my post, but in the end it is still your decision to be moved or not. i'm glad that most of you were enlightened with what i wrote, although there are still those who are still in gray about it, but i know there is still time and i'm not giving up on them. there is still hope for every cassph member just as there is still hope for TVXQ.

personally, i don't want to use the word "fan" anymore because i think most of us has gone beyond the wiki definition of "---a person with an intense, occasionally overwhelming liking and enthusiasm for something.". the word has a derogatory effect that it is only an extreme case of obsession. but for our experiences with TVXQ, i beg to disagree with that definition. an obsession can wear out and die after a few years, but to have love, unconditional love, involved will give it a whole new meaning.
and yes, WE ALL LOVE TVXQ WITH ALL HEARTS.

like i said, "Faith makes all things possible.... love makes all things easy."

so thank you all for reading my blog post and keep the faith eternally!

be warned: this blog post is a "no bars held" post. this means that i have stated some things that in one way or another, might hurt your feelings as fans. but it was never my attention to. i just want to make a strong calling that we should set aside our differences and be one, for real, as cassiopeia, as fans of dbsk.

be open. be reflective. and be happy that you are a part of cassiopeia.

my sister and i had a fandom talk while sadly sulking at Wrong Number's rank in MIT.

sis: "i thought you guys are all out in supporting them?"
me: "yeah, we are, but we don't enforce it to our members, we still leave it to their own decision if they want to vote or not."
sis: "do you really have to think about that? i'm not an all-out kpop fan but i do recognize that DBSK deserves a much higher rank in that chart. if you would remember, i wasn't an Asian music fan not until i met DBSK. you should consider that fact."
me: "i know T~T but people still have their own opinions regarding the spread of DBSK here in the Philippines."
sis: "opinion? seriously, DBSK doesn't need opinion right now. what they need is love from you. they need every support you can give. from what i know, you love a person without setting yourself a limit. you give support because they deserve it. You guys know that right?"
me: "yeah i know."
sis: "you guys are the only hope of DBSK to get together again. if SMEnt would feel that big demand on DBSK in the Philippines, considering every entertainment aspect (radio, tv, media), i think they would pretty much consider getting them together again.
me: "well, we are relying on Avex to bring them as Tohoshinki. besides, that possibility of DBSK coming as DBSK would only mean a very low percent in regards to the present situation."
sis: "but despite that low percentage, will you really disregard that small chance of getting DBSK together?"
me: "no."
sis: "then you better be more vigilant in defining yourselves Cassiopeia as Cassiopeia."

our conversation really brought me to tears.
and take note, my sister is 5 years younger than me.

i came to realize, how do you really define yourself as Cassiopeia? how do you define yourself as a fan of DBSK/Tohoshinki/TVXQ?
do you give yourself limits on being a fan? or you give them your all?

being in this fandom is hard. we all know that.
besides that, we also have our own opinions, and i respect every opinion that i come across.
but this time, i guess i have to give a little push.

i know some of you guys don't really feel like voting in the MIT Chart, or making DBSK's music popular for that matter. we have our different opinions regarding this one. some positive, others are negative, and i respect that no doubt. but i guess i have to make my point clear here.

ranking in a music chart, be it a local or international, says a lot in an artist's influence.
take for example, the Oricon Chart. we know that it only applies to Japan but whenever DBSK rank first it means something to us right?
and it also means something to the korean fans, especially to them. we know that DBSK can't be active together in korea, and the only happiness that we could give those korean cassiopeians is the fact that we still appreciate the guys and give them support through and through.

here in the philippines we are finally given a chance to do it in our own way. we don't have to travel to Japan and Korea to show our support for them.
we can show it to them by making people know who DBSK is through their music and talent. we can finally make our own voice to let people know why are they known around the world. and we can do this by voting for them in the MIT chart.

Why the MIT chart? because it is on national tv, and national means the whole population will be watching them. it's an instant information dissemination.

now from this point on i know i'm going to hear comments about DBSK having more "fans" and that there will be more competitors for them, or there will be posers who will say that "i'm also a fan and i know TVSQ (<--i did that on purpose) too", or there will be people who would mock them and say that they are "jologs" and cheap because they are kpop and that we are just concerned on what DBSK will feel if they hear those comments.

i respect all those reasons because as i said, we have our own personalities towards this fandom.

but after saying all those, didn't you realize that it was all pointing towards yourself?

i can relate to all those statements because i admit, i was like that before.

i never wanted anyone to have a share of this fandom because i feel special, because there are only a few ones who know about DBSK. if they start to be famous then everyone else will know about them and everyone else will know and sing their songs and music. then i'm not special anymore.

but come to think of it, DBSK were never choosey in terms of sharing their music right? they never said that their songs are just for koreans or for japanese only. they write, compose and sing songs for everyone to hear. it now depends on us if we will appreciate it or not, and we did. that goes for everyone else. remember that we also started as clueless people who know nothing about kpop who eventually appreciated it despite the language and the culture.

i became a fan since they debuted last 2003, so imagine my thoughts back then when i meet fans who just became a fan like 1-3 years ago.
i don't like the thought of having those fans because i know more about them. i was a real elitist.

but when i watched DBSK's experience in Japan and how they started from zero to none. that they have to disregard every award and recognition they got from korea and establish themselves all over again, it hit me.

if DBSK were humble enough to accept such situation, why can't i?

eventually i became more open to fans who are new to the fandom and got really interested on how they were able to know DBSK, and i'm happy that i did.

regarding the posers and the mockery, the reality is we just have to live with it.

posers do come and go, but the mockery is everywhere. aren't we tough enough to receive the worst and most hurtful comment that they would say against DBSK and us?
you might say that we just don't want those people to mock our lovable guys, but do you think DBSK themselves would easily sulk up when they hear those things? they've heard worse, much worse, and even experienced the worst things from their antifans in korea, but what did they do?
they disregarded every single thing that was said and done against them and remained humble. as simple as that.

i know that we can also do that, because i have faith in every philippine cassiopeia.
we just have to prove to them all wrong by being more persistent in showing them who DBSK is and what they are made up of.
it can start by a sense of curiosity. when DBSK will gloriously rank number 1 in the MIT chart, they would start to wonder who they are. in effect, they will do their own research on them, get to know them a little better and talk about them which will become a domino effect which will eventually spread among their friends, their friends' friends and the whole Philippines!

isn't that wonderful?

imagine if DBSK would hear the news that they ranked number 1 in the music and album charts despite their hiatus and in a country where they never had a promotion... they would be happy right? and their happiness is the utmost importance in our life as cassiopeia.

So please~ support them in any way you can. Vote for them in MYX MIT chart, buy their albums and share the music.

Please let us leave out all the insecurities and personal opinions behind us and for once be a real Cassiopeia who will support them in heart, mind and soul.

Just a few minutes ago, Universal Records Philippines announced that they are going to release Tohoshinki's Best Album. The versions that are going to be released are the TOHOSHINKI "BEST SELECTION 2010" 2CD+DVD EDITION and TOHOSHINKI "BEST SELECTION 2010" CD ONLY EDITION.

It is roughly perceived that they are going to release it this March. When this happens, I hope, I really, really hope, that you guys are going to support it 110%. You don't have to buy both versions, but if you can, please do.

As everybody can read in every kpop and jpop online news, TVXQ is gaining a lot of limelight all around the world despite their hiatus, unlike here in the Philippines sadly T~T. It would be really great if we make a big impact on the sales of the Best Album because it has just been recently released in Japan too. If Avex Trax heard of this great news on album sales, SOMETHING GOOD MIGHT ACTUALLY HAPPEN in the following months. Yes, those caps are meant to be capslocked.

So please, support it when it is released.

MAXed out: a KPOPCON volunteer experience

okay, first of all, i'm not totally biased with my blog title.
just so you know, i love jaejoong. hehehe. but i have to admit i have
my eyes on the maknae also so... oh well ^^;;

saturday morning, 7 am, i kissed my parents goodbye as i left for alabang.
yeah, i know. i'm a good kid, hehehe.
i arrived at about a little past 8 am and caught up with miki setting up the booth.
actually, we still didn't know which part of the booth grid (lol, made-up term) was CASSPH located ^^
we put up tables for each booth and started fixing our own booth.
berna and i were covering the table with red and black cloth and putting them in place with everybody's bestfriend, double-sided tape.

it was a riot when the standees arrived courtesy of Hannah ^^
OMGSUN! Mr. Kim Junsu!
yes, we all did "harass" Junsu. added the fact that his crotch was stained.
Hannah, what did you do with him back in the car??

so after spazzing over Junsu, the HoMin and JaeChun tarps came!
and they were really big too! too big to fit.
okay, i didn't mean this to be overly suggestive LOL
so we cut them out by piece and managed to hang them around the booth's perimeters.
nicely done if i may say ^^

from time to time, people were asking for a time check.
but we didn't notice it was getting closer to 10 am not until we saw a line outside the event place already! major time pressure.

then without warning, (well, actually there was ^^)
the gates were opened and people flooded across the whole floor! literally!
Berna entrusted me the CassPH booth and together with Georlene and Julie Ann
plus exclusive photog Louie,
we stood our ground and faced the avid, excited and ecstatic fans head on.
parang gera lang, hahaha

the first few hours was a struggle.
it was kinda hard making the visitors calm down first when they saw Junsu, hehehe.
then the problem with the shirts having no size labels and loose change came up. we were opening the shirts and comparing them to each other to tell its size and it was taking a lot of time >.< we still have to tend to the membership, ticket stamping, fansign and postcard too!
we also asked from each other's pockets from time to time to give to the customers as change. huwah~
plus the people in front of the booth were nowhere from diminishing in number.

i was really thankful when the twins arrived. Miwha and Mitchi. two beautiful lifesavers.
i have additional hands to help on the shirts and membership forms.
oh, and did i say they're beautiful? hehehe
and when you say beautiful, what do you think happened?

yep. a flock of interested guys and curious photographers.
LOL. i actually asked the girls if they were already used to this kind of attention.
they said it's kinda normal already, but they do not tolerate harassment.
Miwha would probably kick their asses if someone dared to.
hahaha

the AKTF shirt set was a hit!
it was like selling pancakes! we were so excited about having so much sales that we forgot to take note of the pre-orders' separate stock!
we so fail in this part! mianhae!
good thing only a few people from the pre-order list came to claim their shirts. whew~
but i think there were two people who didn't get their order due to no available sizes already... wah, i'm really sorry!

there were a quite a lot of memorable events that happened in the booth:
~ there was a girl who literally fangirled the twins! super!
to the point that she really felt giddy all over! she even asked for a photo with them. ^^
~ there were guys who were really desperate in getting close to the twins that they joined in making a postcard for TVXQ. i caught this postcard that wrote: FIGHTING CHANG-MING!
i totally LOLed on this and even asked the guys to point who is Changmin in the tarp.
they pointed their hands in different directions! LOLOL.
~ Junsu's standee has a stain on its crotch part, hahaha
and everyone's trying to take all the blame for it XD
~ eka caught me shouting my lungs out while promoting the booth
~ when we heard MIROTIC being played, we all shouted in the booth despite not seeing what was happening on the main program place. did we dance? yes we did ^^
~ counting 22,440php in my hands was definitely memorable *thumbs up*
~ Yunho and Changmin actually came to the booth!
didn't you guys see them? they even posed with Junsu ^^
they are not tintin and berna. i swear.

the after party/dinner was a breather! whew!
i took home the blueberry cheese cake by the way
together with the twins too! hehehe

it was then we realized how successful the event was.

TVXQ vs SME "We Want This Lawsuit To Finish Quickly"

TVXQ's YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu have stated that they wish for their lawsuit against SM Entertainment to finish quickly.

Both sides stated their position at the first hearing held on the 21st at 10:20 am.

The members' side pointed out the unlawful problems in their exclusive contract as well as the doubtful income division made by SME.

SME's side stated that they were in red figures for four years after TVXQ debuted, said that they had divided the income well and that what the three members were saying was false.

Both sides stated that they wanted this lawsuit to be solved as quickly as possible. The judge stated, "If both side would like to set a settlement date that will not be open to the public, that can be arranged," and urged both sides to come to a mutual agreement.

It can be seen that the judge believes it will be better for the two sides to start fresh as quickly as possible rather than have a tiring fight in court.

On the other hand, on the 20th, 120,000 fans submitted petitions against SME's unlawful contract to the Seoul District Courts where the trial is being held.

3 Members Of TVXQ, "We Don't Want To Disband Even If We Move Agencies"

TVXQ and SM Entertainment (SME), who are currently in a dispute over TVXQ's exclusive contract, have both stated that they do not wish for a disbandment of the group.

The first hearing for the lawsuit TVXQ's YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun, and Xiah Junsu filed against SM began on the 21st at 10:20 am.

At this hearing, SME's representative lawyer said, "We hope that through this trial, any misunderstandings that have arisen between SME and the three members will be taken care of so that the two sides can have a better relationship and mature as a star who will lead the 2nd Hallyu Wave and his companion," and "SME has unlimited affection for the three members, and SME has big visions for TVXQ, they've even considered introducing TVXQ into Hollywood so we hope this ends well."

The three members' lawyer said, "If you look at Shinhwa, although each member is in a different agency, they still perform as one group and the three members, even if they move agencies, do not wish to disband."

The three members of TVXQ filed for an Exclusive Contract Validity Suspension and Provisional Disposition Request against their agency SM Entertainment on July 31st. They also filed for a Preservation of Evidence Request to be able to calculate their exact income.

The three members asked for a suspension of their contract due to unlawful clauses but SME stated that the three members were filing this lawsuit due to a conflict because of their cosmetic company; both sides refused to back down from their statements. Leader U-Know Yunho and youngest member Choikang Changmin did not participate in this lawsuit.

But both sides agreed that they did not want a disbandment to occur. A lot of attention is being focused on this trial from the entertainment business and fans.

On the 20th, 120,000 TVXQ fans submitted 12 volumes worth of petitions to the Seoul District Courts, where the lawsuit is being dealt with, stating their objection against SM Entertainment's unlawful contract.

Another SM Official Statement

TVXQ's agency SM Entertainment has put forth another official statement to refute the one given by YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu's side today.

SM sent their statement to various reporters at 8 o'clock on August 3rd and the content was full of points that refuted what Sejong had stated.

SM began off by responding to Sejong's statement that there was a clause in the contract that stated that unless TVXQ sold 500K copies, they would not receive a single Won from the album sales. SME stated, "TVXQ has received, from when they debuted till now, a total of 11 billion Won (9.2 billion won given during the time + 1.77 billion won given beforehand) , luxury foreign cars (bonuses with no relevance to the contract). In contrast, SM Entertainment was in a deficit for four years after TVXQ's debut. The opposition (Sejong) has disregarded the fact that income divisions from CFs, events, and other income sources differs depending on the overall economic situation. They are only focusing on one bad side of this contract instead of looking at it as a whole."

On Sejong's statements about the 13-year 'lifetime contracts,' SM stated that, "The Fair Trade Committee's seven year contract urge does not apply to singers. Also, it states that for singers who are working overseas, there is no limit to how long the contract can be. "

SM stated that, "We have been through five changes already in the contract with the members of TVXQ. And of those two, the clause regarding compensation if TVXQ were to cancel the contract was revised by the Fair Trade Committee," and "The other three times concerned the divisions of income and the first revision was January 2004 when they debuted. The next two times were in February of 2007 and 2009."

Also, in regard to Sejong's statement that, "We (Sejong) have tried numerous times to talk with SME about a compromise," SME stated, "They have only started asking for a suspension of their exclusive contract after the three members sent us a certification of contents through the firm Sejong in June 2009."

In reference to the members' statements that they were only sleeping 3~4 hours per day which resulted in bad health, SM said, "We have always compromised schedules for their health." And in regards to the cosmetic company, which Sejong stated was not the main cause of this lawsuit, SM stated, "This (the cosmetic company) is the real reason why they filed this lawsuit. This statement can be solidified by the fact that only the three members who have ties to the cosmetic company are filing the lawsuit."

Regarding TVXQ's future, SM said, "We would like to solve this problem quickly with the three members who filed this lawsuit."

Note: 11 billion won = approx $9 million

1. What is DBSK's break up, and why did this break up news pop out?
and Are the news about DBSK true?

+ The words about DBSK breaking up came up as the news of the 3 members Jaejoong, YuChun, and Junsu filing a "Provisional disposition of suspending exclusive/ongoing contract" to the court came out. The breaking up rumors are just false rumors. The reason why the breakup rumors came out is because of the news of the members filing a suspension of the contract created more rumors amongst the fans. The most known false rumors flowing around from this were : The members not getting along, and the problems with SM Ent. and the member's cosmetic line. A these rumors came out the break up rumors came out as well. The only real truth that are out about DBSK is the news about the members filing a suspension of contract. That's the only one.

2. What is the deal with DBSK's rumors about setting up a cosmetic company and the problems? What kind of relation does this have?

+ To tell the truth there is no relation with the cosmetic line and DBSK's break up rumors. Of course the members that had filed the contract suspension were the ones that are opening the store, but the members are not the owners of the cosmetic company. They are just managing ONE store. The only thing the 3 members are responsible for is just ONE branch of the entire company. There were rumors about the members and the company in the past, and it seems to have been building up into false rumors. but the cosmetic line having relations to the reason of why the members have filed the contract suspensions are not true. These rumors are just what the people are assuming because they have no clue what is going on with what is true and what is not true. because of this reason, as long as there has not been a clear statement of confirmation, it is not true.

3. What is a "Provisional disposition of suspending exclusive contract" ? and What happens when this lawsuit is in action?

+ Simply, when you file a lawsuit of suspending a contract, you are basically putting a stop to the validity of the existing contract. An ongoing contract is basically saying that you will stay with the same company for a long time, but DBSK wants to fix the existing contract's fishy areas and wants to express how the members wants to fix the contract and show what they want. That is it. This filing of lawsuit has nothing to do with DBSK members breaking up. And this lawsuit has nothing to do with who will be WINNING or LOSING. If this file gets passed and accepted then it just means that the existing contract will just lose the validity not that DBSK will leave SM Ent. and have DBSK break up.

4. On the re-contracting, there are talks that Yunho and Changmin have done a re-contract with SM Ent. is this true?

+ I don't know where you heard this from, but this has never been confirmed formally and is just a false rumor. There has not even been a real news report of this rumor, and it's JUST the 3 members filing a provisional disposition about the contract. Just because the 3 members have put out a provision doesn't mean that just because only 3 members did that the other 2 made recontracts. These are just rumors. There were no talks or whatsoever about this. This is untrue.

5. How do we deal with all the false allegations, rumors, and articles that are still spreading?

+ To tell the truth, not all of us have the high tolerance and knowledge to be able to just pass and ignore all the news articles spreading over the internet and the on the search engines. And also the fact that not many of us have unlimited knowledge of how lawsuits work, of course many of us will panic over the news articles talking about the rumors as if they were facts, and about DBSK breaking up. In these kind of cases we just have to stay strong when seeing overly exaggerated articles and false articles. Because we Cassies are together with DBSK we have to show them. We can't leave rude comments, and to not spread false rumors from reading false articles ourselves. We have to spread the right informations to the people and learn to gain the right informations as well. We have to request posts about taking down false informations and post and scrap the articles that have been formally confirmed by sm.ent and from right sources.

6. Even though they are rumors, rumors have been proved true alot of the times. Are there anything out there that are actual facts?

+ As long as the rumors have not been formally confirmed there is no possible way that we can call it actual facts. But we are for sure that the only thing 3 members have done is that they filed a lawsuit to FIX the contract (edit it basically) regarding slave contract, the validity date of the contract, and unfair contract listings. And to do this they have right now put a hard stance by putting a suspension to the validity of the existing contract. A lot of people are saying that DBSK will just become the 2nd H.O.T. and S.E.S. but situation is very different. DBSK is not just top idols in Korea but also artists who are very influential outside of Korea. SM. Dnt is not a company that would kick out DBSK just because their artist put a lawsuit. Even if DBSK was to break up from Sm.ent, this does not mean that DBSK will break up. Many might be asking ' What does that mean?' DBSK is also in contract with a ent. group AVEX in japan. The contract validity with AVEX ent. has not ended and also have contracted with 2 companies for 2 CFs. DBSK also will be participating in Japan's A-Nation starting today and also on the 1st of August, 22,23,29,and 30.
If DBSK was to even break away from SM Ent, they will have to deal with damages for breach of contract with Avex. Thing will get dirty. There has been the same situation in Japan with a group called SMAP. Back then SMAP's member Kimura takaya(?) had filed a lawsuit against his own company called Johnny's ent. The company backed away and reedited the contract and after that all the rest of the idol groups from there follows the new contract. Back then everyone there said that Kimura was going to take off to a new company and be solo, and every year his group gets hit with false rumors of breaking up but they are still together to this day. Anyway again, we believe that it will be best if all you guys would stop making careless judgment about DBSK's breakup rumors.

SO BASICALLY THE TO POINT IS THAT: DBSK's members Jaejoong, Xiah Junsu, and Micky Yoochun have filed a lawsuit " Provisional disposition of suspending exclusive/ongoing contract" based on the contract's basic terms of conditions, 13 year of slave contract term conditions of money. The false and over exaggerated news reports are overflowing, and the rumors of the company having issues with the members company line and the members not getting along are false. Just because they filed a lawsuit does not mean they are breaking up. They are just filing a lawsuit to FIX the existing contract with SM Ent. They have filed a lawsuit because SM Ent. would not negotiate in talks with the members and they have tried many times. Because negotiations did not get through the members as artist have filed a lawsuit against their company. The only way. So it is best to not believe the false rumors and read false articles.

April 27th, 2005 we debuted in Japan with .

and this year, we’re welcoming our 4th debut anniversary in Japan.

We made a big success with our debut in Korea, therefore, when we started our way debuting in Japan, we came with tremendous hope and also self-confidence.

But it didn’t turn out that way. We met a lot of difficulties, the changing environment, couldn’t make up with Japanese life–among all the strangers…. and the hardest part of all was Japanese language.

Relying to our own self to live here was not as easy as we thought before. Along with that, our hope was steadily faded away, our self-confidence also slowly disappeared.

“Why should we be here, what makes us to be here? If only we’re just in Korea, we won’t be like this…”

We thought about it a lot of times. And the more we thought, the more we’re absorbed to it.

At that time, despites all our purposes and dreams, all we wanted was release everything and back to Korea!

But, in the end we held out and stay. And one who made us stay in Japan Was all you guys!

We still remember, our first stage in Japan… eventhough there were only few people, but we tried our best. Seeing everyone slowly followed our rhythm by clapping their hands, listening to our singing considerately as brought by the melody… all of those gave a big power to us.

For all friends who took care of our dream, we definitely couldn’t just let everything go. Thus we told to ourselves, “FIGHTING!”

At our first Arena concert, at the latest venue, we promised everyone, “Next year, we’ll meet in a bigger venue!!!”

For that promise, we worked hard. The second Arena concert, we made a finale stage at Budoukan hall. The tour last year was also ended successfully.

A-Nation

The first time we performed there in front of audiences who might not even know anything about us.

But each year, as you can see, our fans has been increasing.

The special one was last year A-Nation, where from front to back, there were all of you guys. We all got crazy together at that time. It’s really touching.

We could stand on stage, feel all your support and love, is the most precious thing to us.

Today we want to tell this to you.

It’s all because your love which makes us to fight all the agitation at the beginning of our career here.

Time passes so quickly, but then it’s only 4 years. Remembering all these 4 years, to be here with everyone talking together, holding a fanmeeting, we’re very glad.

Really thank you, to have all your support. For all who sincerely support Tohoshinki, we can’t ever thank you properly.

Henceforth, we’ll walk forward step by step by working harder!
